Preparing Your Safe Before a Verification Visit

A verification visit runs smoothly when the safe environment is ready. Most delays we encounter are administrative—vault hours, missing co-signers, or devices stored in a second location.

Confirm Access Windows

Bank vault boxes operate on fixed schedules. Book your vault appointment before confirming our visit date. Home and office safes need uninterrupted access for the quoted duration; pausing mid-entry to attend a meeting adds billable time.

Gather All Devices

We verify what is present. If a trustee expects four Ledgers but only three are in the safe, the log reflects three. Surprises after the visit are harder to resolve than gaps noted on site.

Brief Witnesses

Anyone who must sign the log should be present for the entire device sequence. Witnesses who arrive late may need a second appointment to sign, which incurs a registrar fee.

Power and Workspace

Provide a table, chair, and power outlet near the safe. We bring air-gapped equipment but may need to charge backup battery packs between devices.

Seed Phrases Stay With You

We never ask to photograph seed phrases or enter passphrases on your behalf. Prepare to operate devices yourself while we observe and record outputs.

Documents to Have Ready

Prior log volumes (if any), trust names for registration, and a list of expected assets per device. These reduce questions during the visit and keep the log focused on verification facts.

Send your preparation notes through our contact form at least three business days before the visit.
